Our own city deserved a page that was not a listing of hotels with affiliate links. vizag.in opens with the almanac: the sea and the sky today, sunrise and sunset, the tide, the wind, rebuilt every morning from open data. Below it is the register: more than four thousand places from OpenStreetMap sorted into a dozen registers, hundreds of bus stops, and a dot map of the neighbourhoods so you can see where a place sits before you go.

The work
The old site was WordPress and it was replaced at the apex in one cutover. The brief was sand, sea and Fraunces, and the look was pinned before the build. The almanac is a small daily job; the places were pulled once and are refreshed on a schedule; the map is drawn from coordinates with no map provider in the page.

How it is built
A static site with a daily rebuild, shipped as Cloudflare static assets; the email for hello@vizag.in routes through Cloudflare to a person. The same pattern as the other October registers, with the almanac as the one piece that changes every day.
