Opened like a test booklet, mocked.in shows a series letter, a booklet number in red and the instructions to candidates in English and Hindi, with one of today’s questions on the cover, answerable on an answer-sheet strip. Break the seal and the clock starts; hand in and the script comes back marked in red pen, with the working under every answer.
No question on it was typed in by a person or written by a chatbot. Sums and puzzles are generated with their answers worked out by the same code; a syllogism is checked against every diagram its statements allow, and a seating puzzle is kept only when exactly one order fits. Words come from WordNet and facts from Wikidata, and each is checked by TypeSafe’s Jev before it can appear.

The work
Each exam’s pattern was read from its notice: the parts, the questions, the clock, the negative marking, down to bank penalties that are a quarter of each question’s marks. A paper is set once and kept, so everyone who sits a booklet sits the same questions and the result sheet compares like with like. An exam that needs a part the generator cannot yet set honestly shows its pattern only.
The design is the paper itself, in four inks with one job each: print black, the answer sheet’s pink, the candidate’s blue pen and the examiner’s red. The answer bubble is the radio button, the booklet number is the paper’s id, and the marked script is the result page.

How it is built
A build renders every paper, a year of daily papers and the practice pages into a folder that ships as Cloudflare static assets; a small Worker keeps the result sheet in D1, a roll number and marks per booklet and nothing else. The same question modules run in the browser to set fresh practice rounds.
