Every domain investor keeps a drawer of tools: one to check a name, one to check fifty, one to find short names, one to see what sits on a domain. dom.to is that drawer, tidied: each tool lives on its own subdomain, does one job, and shares the data and the API with the others, so a lookup on one is as current as on the next.

The work
The tools are deliberately small and static: a page, a request to a shared API, an answer. The value is in the data behind the API, which is the same record that powers crawls.in and tlds.in, and in keeping a dozen tools honest at once rather than one tool polished.

How it is built
Static pages served from one gateway, a shared API on our main service, and Cloudflare in front. It is the oldest of these sites and the place where the patterns the newer registers use were first tried.
